Frequently asked questions
Is Captionzy really free?
Yes. All 24 tools are free to use, with no account, no sign-up and no daily limits.
Do you store what I type or upload?
No. The tools work in your browser, and your text and images are not sent to our server. Messages you send through the contact form are the exception; the Privacy Policy explains how those are handled.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Every tool runs in a modern web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is no app or extension to install.
Are the platform limits official?
Some are. YouTube publishes its title, description and thumbnail limits, and we link to them. Instagram and TikTok do not publish every limit on a help page we could verify, so those numbers are labeled as widely reported.
Why does my count differ from the app's?
Apps count some emoji and special characters differently. Our counters count characters the way people see them and also show technical counts, so leave a small margin under any limit.
Will styled fonts work everywhere?
Most modern phones and browsers show them, but they are Unicode characters, not real fonts. Screen readers and search may not read them well, so keep important words plain.
Can I suggest a tool?
Yes, please do. Use the contact page to tell us what would save you time.
