    Examples

    Result
Script: ℒℴ𝓋ℯ 𝒩ℴ𝓉ℯ𝓈. Bold script: 𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓝𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓼.

    Limits and restrictions

    • Styled letters are not a real font. Each letter is swapped for a different Unicode character that looks similar, which is why the style survives copy and paste. Screen readers may read these characters one by one or skip them, in-app search may not find a styled word, and devices without the right font show empty boxes.
    • Script styles are among the hardest for screen readers; avoid them for important information.
    • Digits do not have a script version and stay plain.

    Tips and best practices

    • Bold script is easier to read on small screens than thin script.
    • Use cursive for one name or phrase, not long text.
    • Send yourself a test message to check how it looks in email or chat apps.
    • Pair with plain text for anything people need to search.

    Frequently asked questions

Why do some letters look slightly different?

A few script letters, such as ℒ and ℯ, were added to Unicode earlier in a separate block, so they can look a little different from the rest.

Which style works best for names?

Bold script is usually the easiest to read on small screens.

Can I use cursive text in emails?

Yes, but some email apps show missing characters as boxes. Send yourself a test.

    Is this real handwriting?

No. These are Unicode letters that look like script. They are text, not images.

Can I copy just one style?

Yes. Each style has its own Copy button.
